Stir the Wallaby StewBack to Song Category List Page Song Lyrics:
CH: So stir the Wallaby Stew, Make soup of the Kangaroo's tail, I tell ya things is pretty crooked Since dad's been thrown in Ja - a - il. (ja - a - il). 1. Poor daddy got five years or so, as everybody knows He's out there working on the road, with arrows on his clothes. He branded old Brown clean skins, And never left a tab, So, I'll relate the family's fate since dad's been thrown in jail. 2. Our sheeep they died, a month ago, all down with bloom and fluke. The car was lost last Christman, by my brother Luke. I sold the buggy in the town, the farm is up for sale. There'll be a hell of a lot more gone when data gets out of jail. 3. Our best got shook upon a bloke, whose gone; we don't know where. He used to work around the shed, but never acted square. Now mother's got some cattle poke, forever at her tail. We all will sure have grown a bit when dad gets out of jail. 4. They let dad out, before his time, to give us a surprise. He quickly looked at all of us, and gently blessed our eyes. He shook hands with the cattle poke, said things are looking stale. Then left him there with all of us, 'said "I'm going back to jail."
